Job Requirements
- ServSafe certification
- Moe’s Manager certification
- ability to manage and lead a team of 15-25 members
- self-discipline and strong initiative
- ability to multitask and handle pressure
- good communication skills
- ability to conduct effective interviews
- pleasant and polite manner with neat appearance
- ability to maintain 90% or higher health inspection scores
- willingness to work approximately 50 hours per week including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds
- ability to operate restaurant and office equipment
- willingness to complete tasks such as catering delivery
- commitment to Sterling policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- College degree preferred but not required
- previous restaurant experience is a must
- knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
- must possess a valid driver’s license
- must be eligible to work in the United States
- must agree to a background check
Job Duties
- Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant to ensure guest satisfaction and increased profitability
- ensure 100% guest satisfaction in areas of quality, service and cleanliness, responding to guest complaints to convert dissatisfied guests into regulars
- provide direction to team members regarding operational and procedural issues following Moe's standards
- maintain accurate staffing plans, interview prospective employees and ensure staffing procedures are followed
- develop team members through ongoing feedback and performance reviews
- enforce sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness and maintenance, maintaining high inspection scores
- ensure compliance with Moe's and Sterling operational standards and preserve professional appearance standards
- manage food flow to ensure quality, proper portioning and minimize waste
- implement security procedures to protect guests, employees and assets
- ensure a safe work environment and complete injury reports as needed
- manage shifts effectively
- investigate mystery shopper reports and develop improvement plans
- adhere to Sterling standards to increase sales and minimize costs
- analyze monthly P&L for profitability improvements and implement plans
- ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- coordinate community involvement activities such as spirit nights
- promote a positive presence in the local community through active engagement by the restaurant and personnel
