Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • one to three years of foodservice management experience
  • strong leadership and team management abilities
  • solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • proficiency in cash handling and financial controls
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • computer literacy including MS Office
  • commitment to customer service excellence
  • availability to work flexible hours

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in food services technology/management or related field or A.A. degree plus three years of related experience
  • minimum one to three years of retail operational foodservice management experience preferred
  • strong knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing and presentation
  • experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services desirable
  • cash retail operations experience
  • retail marketing experience highly desirable
  • supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to communicate with management, customers, and associates
  • knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices
  • proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and internet use

Job Duties

  • Plan and supervise special functions
  • maintain cash controls and payroll records
  • oversee hiring and training of hourly team members
  • ensure customer satisfaction and manage public relations
  • direct staff to provide retail services per corporate policies
  • train staff in customer service, portioning, cashier skills, and safety/sanitation
  • complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time
  • communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • implement and maintain cash handling standards to prevent theft
