Job Requirements

  • Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • availability to close the store at least once per week
  • attend corporate business meetings and conferences including overnight stays and interstate travel
  • maintain valid identification for airline travel
  • maintain prompt and regular attendance
  • hold store associates accountable to attendance policies
  • ensure compliance with company dress code
  • ability to perform physical tasks including frequent bending, pushing, reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs., and continuous walking throughout a shift

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience
  • success with driving top-line sales and managing payroll budgets
  • proven ability to monitor inventory levels and execute merchandising directives
  • leadership experience in attracting and developing talent and leading through change
  • proficient with Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to react under pressure and adapt to changing situations

Job Duties

  • Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed Ulta Beauty's goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and shrink
  • drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
  • leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support store scheduling needs and productivity
  • address issues identified by financial and operational reporting to meet store goals and drive profitability
  • perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest service and sales experience
  • attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent and address staffing needs
  • lead manager and associate development including training, coaching, performance reviews, succession planning, and individual development
  • ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
  • protect company assets by enforcing operating procedures including safety, inventory control, cash management, and loss prevention
  • utilize company tools to drive continuous store improvement and communicate business insights to leadership
