Job Requirements
- Education level of at least 2-year college degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 4 years hospitality management experience preferred
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
- Must maintain warm and friendly demeanor
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Attend all training and meetings as required
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Comply with company grooming and appearance standards

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field
- Or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years related experience
- Or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years related experience
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and guests
- Ability to listen understand and clarify concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Approach encounters in an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance compliant with standards
- Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
- Comply with standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations
- Effective in handling problems including anticipating preventing and solving
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information and data
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and review of sales and operations efforts
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
- Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and accounting procedures
- Develop managers for future advancement through competency and corporate training
- Conduct daily HHBR meetings focusing on prospecting and account calls
- Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Maintain contact with and monitor management trainees
- Adhere to all Highgate Hotel policies and train new managers on compliance
- Oversee and assist in budget process as required
- Ensure training in service standards across departments
- Create a positive team-oriented environment focused on guest service
- Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering managers
- Ensure daily processing of invoices via A/P process
- Submit financial documents monthly to Corporate Office complying with accounting calendar
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of property through inspections and preventive maintenance
- Ensure employees maintain friendly courteous and efficient interactions
- Forecast hotel financial position monthly including revenues and expenses
- Conduct management interviews following Highgate SOPs
- Interview final candidates for management positions before offers
- Perform Executive Committee members performance appraisals
- Motivate counsel and discipline management staff per SOPs
- Perform other duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director
- Ensure fair treatment of all employees per SOPs
- Meet clients on property to assist in sales efforts
- Be present in public areas during peak times to assist guests
- Ensure procedures for hotel safe handling and monthly audits
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit collection policies
- Complete required corporate training modules and train others as required
- Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
