Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior leadership experience required
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Availability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate verbally
  • Ability to use and access all restaurant areas

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise employee performance and implement reward or disciplinary actions including termination
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Shape the restaurant culture and ensure high employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members to ensure success and guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior and create a warm, hospitable atmosphere
  • Communicate sales performance and goals to management team
  • Cascade corporate programs and initiatives to staff
  • Assist team members with duties as needed
  • Champion sales building and suggestive selling activities
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Meet and greet guests, investigate and resolve food quality and service issues
  • Maintain efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes, and company policies
  • Enforce safe work behaviors
  • Monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • Control cash handling, inventory, scheduling, and financial reporting
  • Manage P&L including food cost, labor cost, and other controllable expenses
  • Follow recipes and portion control
  • Conduct weekly inventory
  • Optimize labor scheduling using company tools
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of restaurant equipment and facility
  • Perform other duties as assigned
