Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent business management experience
  • Management experience required
  • Minimum ten years of experience in transit operations including fixed route, on-demand, and ADA services
  • Minimum seven years senior management experience in a transit agency
  • Expertise in labor and union negotiations and expenses
  • Full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety DOT and FTA compliance
  • Proficient in MS Office with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills and multi-tasking ability
  • Ability to perform additional duties based on contract requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum seven years senior management experience in a transit agency
  • Expertise in labor and union negotiations and expenses
  • Strong understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety compliance including DOT and FTA
  • Proficiency in MS Office with strong analytical, written, verbal communication, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to handle additional duties based on contract requirements

Job Duties

  • Manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs
  • Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff
  • Adopt a proactive management style and collaborate on service quality and passenger feedback
  • Communicate effectively with location staff and support teams
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance plans and ensure fleet availability
  • Manage safety and training programs to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain routine client contact to meet or exceed expectations
  • Conduct departmental audits periodically
  • Review key operational metrics daily, weekly, and monthly
  • Manage financial metrics continuously and develop action plans for exceptions
  • Implement and promote company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with committees to improve policies and programs
  • Participate in labor and employee relations activities
  • Support contract renewals with relevant information and insights
  • Create and present the location's annual budget
