Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or relevant field preferred
  • minimum of 3 years’ experience in restaurant management
  • ServSafe certification required
  • solid knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent financial acumen
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent problem-solving skills
  • availability to work 50 hours per week including weekends and busy shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a restaurant general manager or similar managerial role
  • strong understanding of restaurant financials and cost control
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and ServSafe certification
  • excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • ability to lead, motivate and develop staff members
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • familiarity with scheduling and inventory management
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales
  • manage costs to meet budget targets focusing on cost of sales, labor costs and cash over/short
  • analyze variances and initiate corrective actions with urgency
  • ensure all financial and payroll administrative duties are completed accurately and on time
  • maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by enforcing sanitation standards and complying with health regulations
  • ensure consistent high quality food preparation and service
  • maintain restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards
  • manage inventory, control cost of goods and supervise portion control to minimize waste
  • estimate food needs, place orders with distributors and schedule deliveries
  • uphold ServSafe certification and guidelines
  • complete weekly Food Excellence Self-Assessment
  • ensure positive guest service and respond to complaints appropriately
  • ensure a safe working environment and complete accident reports promptly
  • manage shifts including scheduling and planning while upholding standards
  • investigate and resolve complaints about food quality and service
  • complete weekly Food Excellence audit
  • recruit, train, supervise, and when necessary, terminate employees
  • ensure all employees complete training
  • communicate job expectations and enforce policies
  • provide ongoing feedback and establish performance expectations
  • maintain accurate staffing plans and prepare schedules
  • conduct monthly staff meetings
  • develop employees to become Shift Leaders and future General Managers
  • maintain compliance with all regulations and company policies
  • perform loss prevention audits
  • uphold company values
  • keep District Manager informed of all issues
  • complete job responsibilities effectively and timely
  • maintain favorable working relationships among employees
  • accomplish company goals by accepting ownership
  • perform other duties as required
