Job Requirements

  • College degree (BS/BA) preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Five years experience supervising at least 15 associates
  • Three years experience in hotel management including managing budgets
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working in Hilton or Marriott family of hotels preferred
  • Must pass appropriate security clearances
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch and reach
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with associates and guests
  • Must maintain honesty and trustworthiness at all times
  • Must be physically present at the hotel and be able to work any shift including weekends
  • Periodic overnight travel required

Job Qualifications

  • College degree (BS/BA) preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Five years experience supervising at least 15 associates
  • Three years experience in hotel management including managing budgets
  • Prior experience working in Hilton or Marriott family of hotels preferred
  • Knowledge of government regulations applicable to hotel industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook

Job Duties

  • Ensure hotel staff are properly greeting guests, adhering to uniform standards, and appropriately resolving guest complaints to provide an atmosphere of hospitality
  • Manage new hire processes for all departments and ensure completion of required paperwork and orientation
  • Review ongoing training practices to keep associates updated on policies and procedures
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and develop associates to maintain a professional and cohesive team
  • Promote positive morale and a friendly attitude among staff
  • Monitor communication between departments to ensure timely and accurate information flow
  • Develop and execute long and short-term financial objectives, exceeding budgeted sales and expense goals
  • Review cost accounts on a weekly basis
  • Ensure maintenance of all equipment according to service standards and resolve outages promptly
  • Complete administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, orders, and production controls timely
  • Enforce adherence to company rules, policies, and procedures and oversee implementation of new rules when necessary
  • Maintain certification from brand-approved responsible vendor training programs
  • Engage in business and charitable community involvement
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness, safety, and appearance
  • Perform other duties as assigned that are within the capabilities of the associate
