Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or supply chain or equivalent two years relevant work experience
  • minimum five years relevant supply chain or logistics experience
  • five years managing large multi-level teams
  • three years developing and implementing logistics solutions and project management
  • experience in a LEAN work environment preferred
  • profit and loss responsibility preferred
  • one year customer interaction
  • one year managing customer KPIs
  • some sales experience preferred
  • knowledge of truck brokerage preferred
  • advanced logistics industry knowledge required
  • proficiency with Ryder safety programs
  • intermediate financial reporting and accounting skills
  • intermediate PC skills with Microsoft Office
  • advanced skill in RD2000 system
  • advanced knowledge of Ryder products, sales process, and pricing models

  • knowledge of truck brokerage preferred
  • advanced knowledge of logistics/transportation industry
  • proficiency in Ryder safety programs, financial reporting, and accounting procedures
  • intermediate PC skills with Microsoft Office
  • expertise in RD2000 system, Ryder products and services, sales process, and pricing models

Job Duties

  • Manage overall financial, operational, and employee aspects of multiple accounts
  • set goals, conduct skills assessments, and manage career development
  • perform performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • develop direct and indirect reports and oversee HR training
  • maintain staffing levels and conduct quality hiring
  • create location processes and conduct cross-training
  • address customer satisfaction and problem resolution
  • review and improve KPI tracking
  • train staff in transportation and distribution management
  • improve employee retention and safety
  • reduce accidents and unnecessary overtime
  • follow up on safety incident reports
  • recommend process improvements and assign responsibilities
  • conduct self-audits of processes and accountabilities
  • perform SOX invoice reconciliation and revenue recognition
  • prepare invoices to customers
  • perform other duties as assigned
