Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of restaurant management experience preferably in quick-service restaurants
  • Ability to work a minimum of five days per week including four closing shifts or a guaranteed four-day workweek
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
  • Understanding of federal and state labor laws and local health and sanitation regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Basic accounting and computer proficiency
  • Ability to follow directions and work autonomously
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields preferred
  • Minimum two years of restaurant management experience, preferably in quick-service restaurants
  • Experience running shifts without supervision
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
  • Familiarity with federal and state labor laws, local health and sanitation regulations
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
  • Problem-solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Manages, trains, monitors and coaches crew/team members, carhops and skating carhops
  • Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to ensure all food service aspects meet operational standards
  • Adheres to and monitors employee compliance with handbook, policies and practices
  • Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
  • Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing levels as needed
  • Monitors and maintains inventory levels, places orders within cost control procedures
  • Completes and maintains employment and payroll records
  • Reinforces customer service mentality ensuring employees focus on serving customers
  • Resolves guest requests respectfully and reports complaints
  • Interviews and hires restaurant crew and management team members
  • Prepares operational reports and develops action plans for financial and sales trends
  • Develops and implements marketing plans
