Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience required
  • 4-6 years of experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • ability to work a variety of shifts and weekends
  • physical capability to stand and walk for entire shift
  • ability to push, lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • ability to reach, handle objects and controls
  • ability to bend and stoop
  • ability to taste and smell food
  • verbal communication skills
  • vision capabilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • ability to access all restaurant areas including selling floor, stock, and register areas

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations according to company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct employee work
  • appraise performance and discipline employees, including termination
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • shape the restaurant culture to ensure high employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members
  • model professional behavior and create a welcoming atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and corporate programs to management and staff
  • assist team members as needed with job duties
  • champion sales building and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • meet and greet guests and resolve food quality/service issues
  • maintain cost controls and profit management
  • ensure OSHA, health, safety, and security policies compliance
  • enforce safe work behaviors
  • monitor food quality and cleanliness
  • oversee cash control/security, inventory, food and labor management, financial reporting, and scheduling
  • manage P&L including food, labor, and carryout costs
  • control food costs with recipe and portion control and conduct weekly inventory
  • optimize labor costs through scheduling and sales performance monitoring
  • ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • maintain facility and company assets
  • perform other assigned duties
