Job Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Certification in a national food safety program
- Minimum five years supervisory experience in restaurant management
- Proven ability to lead and develop management teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage budgets and financial reports
- Knowledge of food safety practices and labor laws
- Capability to handle physical requirements such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 lbs
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and development
- Competency in problem solving and decision making
Job Qualifications
- College graduate with a degree in hotel and restaurant management or equivalent experience
- Certified in a national food safety program
- Five years experience in a supervisory position
- Certified in-store trainer in all areas
Job Duties
- Lead team to increase business sales and net profit to meet the annual budget while attaining the mission
- Ensure preparation and review of daily summary report against daily control totals from cash register system ensuring accuracy
- Ensure accurate preparation of weekly operations report based on the daily summary report
- Complete and follow-up on weekly schedule and daily deployment based on budget forecasts to meet system labor percentages
- Maintain controllable costs based on system averages
- Maintain and control product inventory according to business needs
- Complete and document food temperatures and product rotation as described in quality control and safe food checklists
- Ensure effective training and demonstration of food safety practices
- Maintain product quality and portion control to meet system standards
- Support risk management team in implementing safety standards
- Supervise hiring and orientation of all team members
- Oversee initial and ongoing training and development
- Develop management skills of the management team
- Coach and mentor all team members providing incidence documentation as necessary
- Conduct management and team member performance evaluations
- Provide wage adjustments based on performance
- Ensure restaurant compliance with federal and state labor laws
- Enroll eligible team members in group benefit program
- Enforce policies consistently for each team member
- Conduct weekly management and team member meetings
- Maintain consistent uniform and appearance standards
- Maintain timely and effective communication among team members
- Ensure excellence in guest relations and timely follow up on guest comments
- Supervise to consistently deliver quality product in designated service times
- Coordinate and ensure maintenance of equipment and repairs
- Oversee cleaning, organizing, and maintenance of restaurant and grounds
- Perform daily restaurant tours before and after each shift
- Develop and maintain community relationships for local marketing
- Model positive and effective role modeling in appearance and attitude
- Attend manager skills classes and apply learning to operations
- Routinely check email and extranet and respond as necessary
- Implement new products and procedures accurately
- Maintain office, files, and postings correctly
- Coordinate and implement restaurant policies and procedures for team members
