Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years experience in restaurant or hospitality management
- demonstrated financial responsibility and budget management
- excellent organizational and time management skills
- ability to conduct inventories and audits
- strong communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and owners
- ability to manage staff training and development
- knowledge of payroll administration and employee records management
- capability to work bartender shifts when required
- experience with restaurant reservation systems
- commitment to maintaining product quality and operational excellence
- flexible to adapt to market and operational changes
- ability to lead internal promotions and incentive programs
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management
- strong leadership and team management skills
- financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost controls
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to coordinate marketing and sales strategies
- knowledge of inventory management and purchasing processes
- proficiency with reservation and ordering software such as Ordersmart, Opentable, and Aloha
- experience in beverage program management including wine knowledge
- skilled in bookkeeping and financial reporting
- ability to train and develop staff
- adept at handling multiple operational areas simultaneously
- understanding of customer service and sales motivation techniques
Job Duties
- Oversee product quality and operational standards
- direct marketing efforts and adapt to market conditions
- manage and train other managers
- manage sales and profitability
- oversee budget and reporting
- ensure product knowledge of all sales/service personnel
- ensure sales orientation/motivation of staff
- conduct internal promotions and incentive contests
- ensure adequate staffing levels at peak times
- monitor sales mix and advise on trends and customer preferences
- handle large party bookings in coordination with party planner
- establish and maintain contacts with chamber of commerce, hotel concierges, and entertainment people
- coordinate maintenance and execution of Ordersmart, Opentable and Aloha systems
- maintain the restaurant website
- manage beverage operations including staffing, training, cleanup and inventory
- maintain wine program and schedule tastings
- manage dining room operations including staffing, payroll, employee reviews, and pre-shift meetings
- monitor linen usage and employee evaluation program
- handle workmen compensation claims
- maintain inventory of office supplies and menus
- monitor restaurant takeout program
- analyze monthly income statements and report to owner
