Job Requirements
- At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field
- Or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years related experience
- Or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years related experience
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly
- Maintain warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective listening and clarifying concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Attend required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage
- Regular attendance complying with hotel standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and review of sales and operations
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate programs in a timely fashion
- Hold monthly financial reviews with all department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity and checkbook accounting procedures
- Develop managers for future advancement through competency and corporate training
- Conduct daily HHBR meeting with Director of Sales focusing on account calls and business results
- Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Maintain direct contact and monitor management trainees
- Adhere to all Highgate Hotel policies and train new managers for compliance
- Oversee and assist in budget process as required
- Ensure training in service standards is conducted in each department
- Create a positive team-oriented environment focusing on guest satisfaction
- Inspect rooms regularly with Housekeeping Manager and Property Engineer
- Ensure complete processing of invoices daily
- Ensure timely submission of financial documents to Corporate Office
- Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of property through inspections and preventive programs
- Ensure employees are attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient
- Forecast monthly financial position and analyze data for accurate reforecast
- Conduct management interviews and follow hiring procedures
- Interview all prospective final management candidates
- Perform performance appraisals and ensure compliance by managers
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel
- Perform other duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director
- Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees
- Meet clients on property and assist sales efforts
- Greet guests in public areas during peak times
- Ensure hotel safe security procedures and monthly audits
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit policies
- Complete required corporate training modules and become certified trainer
- Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
