Job Requirements

  • at least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years related experience or 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years related experience
  • general management experience preferred
  • strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • ability to multitask and prioritize
  • leadership and employee development skills
  • knowledge of hotel operations and financial management
  • ability to handle confidential information
  • willingness to maintain high standards of personal appearance
  • availability to engage with guests during peak times
  • commitment to safety and operational standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top accounts meeting clients hosting luncheons and receptions and meeting with on-site contacts regularly
  • assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment focused on the guest through employee development and motivation
  • conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions presented by department managers
  • develop managers for future advancement through competency and corporate training programs
  • inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping manager and property engineer
  • ensure complete processing of invoices daily using accounts payable process
  • ensure cleanliness and maintenance of physical property through inspections and preventive maintenance
