Job Requirements

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • or a 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience
  • or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience
  • Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, company approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • Must have valid driver’s license for applicable state
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the need
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field or 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years experience or 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years experience

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Dekha Prosperity, LLC standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming per brand dress code
  • Comply with company standards and regulations to ensure safe hotel operations
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top accounts and meeting clients
  • Tour operating departments daily and adjust operations as needed
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • Meet financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers
  • Ensure budgeted productivity levels and accounting procedures are maintained
  • Develop managers through competency and corporate training programs
  • Participate in management coverage as scheduled
  • Maintain contact with management trainees
  • Adhere to company policies and oversee budget processes
  • Ensure training in service standards is taking place in all departments
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented, guest-focused environment
  • Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices
  • Submit financial documents monthly in compliance with accounting calendar
  • Ensure cleanliness and preventive maintenance of property
  • Ensure employees provide attentive and efficient service
  • Forecast monthly financial position and analyze data
  • Conduct management interviews and follow hiring procedures
  • Administer performance appraisals and disciplinary actions per company standards
  • Maintain professional relationships and communications
  • Meet sales clients on property and assist in sales efforts
  • Be present in public areas during peak times
  • Maintain hotel safe procedures including monthly audits
  • Conduct bi-monthly credit meetings and manage credit policies
  • Complete corporate training modules and become certified trainer
  • Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
