Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in restaurant management or a related field
  • Ability to work 45-50 hours per week including flexibility for emergencies
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 45 pounds
  • Strong computer and administrative skills
  • Willingness to work some delivery tasks as needed
  • Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to guest service
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs
  • Complete financial invoices, reporting, and payroll administrative duties accurately and on time
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling and maintain cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
  • Maintain high quality of food preparation and service consistently
  • Maintain professional restaurant image including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • Estimate food and beverage costs and work with office staff for efficient purchasing
  • Responsible cash handling and facility security including monitoring for theft
  • Supervise portion control to minimize waste
  • Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule deliveries
  • Ensure positive guest service and respond to complaints to convert dissatisfied guests to return guests
  • Keep leadership team informed of issues and take corrective action
  • Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate to maximize employee morale and productivity
  • Provide direction to employees on operational and procedural issues
  • Interview, hire, supervise, develop, and terminate employees as needed
  • Conduct orientation and oversee new employee training
  • Develop employees with feedback, performance expectations, and reviews
  • Maintain accurate staffing plans and prepare schedules
  • Perform other duties as required or requested
