Job Requirements
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience
- ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
- maintain warm and friendly demeanor
- effective communication skills with employees and guests

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments as needed via department heads
- conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions
- meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
- hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- ensure departmental budgeted productivity and accounting procedures
- develop managers through competency and corporate training
- conduct daily sales meetings with Director of Sales
- participate in hotel sales efforts including client interactions
- ensure M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- monitor management trainee development
- enforce compliance with Highgate Hotel policies and train new managers
- oversee and assist in the hotel budget process
- ensure departmental training in service standards
- foster a positive team environment focusing on guest satisfaction
- inspect rooms regularly with Housekeeping and Engineering
- manage daily invoice processing
- ensure monthly financial document submissions
- maintain cleanliness and maintenance of property
- promote attentive, friendly, and courteous employee interactions
- forecast monthly financial position accurately
- conduct management interviews and hiring procedures
- perform performance appraisals
- motivate and discipline management personnel per standards
- fulfill duties requested by senior management
- ensure fair treatment of employees
- assist sales effort by meeting clients and hosting
- be present in public areas during peak times
- ensure hotel safe handling procedures and audits
- conduct monthly credit meetings and oversee credit policies
- complete required corporate training modules
- ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
