Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Physical capability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stretching throughout the day
- Capable of remaining on feet for extended periods and effectively navigating the entire property
- Proven experience in hotel leadership positions
- Strong financial and operational management skills
- Ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards including OSHA and health regulations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years progressive hotel leadership experience ideally in lifestyle, boutique, or high-touch hospitality
- Deep knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, and guest experience strategy
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to read and influence P&L statements
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building and developing teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead calmly and decisively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Passion for hospitality, design, culture, and community
- Experience in strategic planning and operational execution
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Own the full operation of the hotel including rooms, food and beverage, spa, events, and other departments
- Set and execute clear, bold strategies that align with brand vision and ownership goals
- Lead a high-performing team with a hands-on, present, and people-first management style
- Champion The Standard’s quirky, creative, and inclusive identity ensuring exceptional guest experiences
- Meet and exceed revenue, profitability, and performance targets across all departments
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and cost control with precision
- Maintain rigorous standards in safety, cleanliness, and compliance with OSHA and Health Department regulations
- Implement systems that drive operational efficiency without sacrificing guest or employee experience
- Build a strong bench of leaders through coaching, mentorship, and staff training
- Foster a positive, respectful culture where employees thrive, feel heard, and grow
- Lead from the floor by remaining visible, accessible, and actively involved in daily operations
- Drive employee morale and retention through consistent engagement and open-door policies
- Act as the face of the hotel connecting authentically with guests, clients, and the community
- Own the guest journey from arrival to departure, ensuring consistency and excellence
- Respond to feedback and trends to pivot operations aimed at elevating the guest experience
- Create and support brand-aligned activations, events, and partnerships to boost market presence
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Food and Beverage, Spa, and Programming departments
- Liaise between ownership, corporate leadership, and on-site teams ensuring alignment
- Ensure coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house in daily and long-term operations
