Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or restaurant employees
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Certification through assigned IHOP training courses

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with IHOP restaurant hourly employees, Corporate and Regional employees, and guests
  • Implement the Craft Training program for all restaurant hourly employees
  • Execute annual financial, marketing, guest service, and human resource objectives and strategies
  • Manage the restaurant floor and handle guest complaints promptly
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the unit
  • Recruit, train, and retain employees
  • Maintain turnover within acceptable limits
  • Conduct ongoing coaching and administer compensation plans
  • Ensure food quality and compliance with SOP
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels and timely ordering of supplies
  • Ensure operational condition of equipment and premises
  • Maintain sanitation and food safety practices
  • Develop and maintain a safety program
  • Ensure security practices and proper cash handling procedures
  • Implement marketing promotions and maintain promotional materials
  • Complete required reports and personnel paperwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned
