Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hotel management experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software
  • Must comply with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Ability to respond effectively to guest complaints and operational issues
  • Strong financial acumen to manage budgets and expenses

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates and promotes 100 percent commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests
  • Ensures guest related issues are resolved consistent with company goals
  • Maintains guest rooms and public areas at the highest cleanliness standards
  • Completes daily room and guest ready room inspections
  • Manages ESA brand standards and pursues continuous improvement
  • Conducts proper recruiting, interviewing, screening, reference checking, and hiring procedures
  • Onboards and trains new associates including compliance with training courses
  • Drives positive work environment through teamwork and recognition
  • Partners with District Manager to enhance associate performance via coaching and counseling
  • Conducts daily team meetings to communicate company updates and hotel needs
  • Provides necessary tools and supplies for team members
  • Maintains appropriate inventory levels through daily management
  • Efficiently manages rooms to keep guest rooms in service
  • Controls labor expenses by approving daily punches and monitoring productivity
  • Manages cash including collection of guest balances and bank deposits
  • Achieves lead generation quotas through guest engagement and market awareness
  • Upholds ESA standards and policy compliance
  • Performs competitive surveillance and reviews in-house rates
  • Adheres to employment laws
  • Performs duties in all hotel operation aspects as needed
  • Manages an Assistant General Manager or team leader
  • Monitors guest experience and social media to respond timely
