Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to be flexible and a team player
  • Strong communications skills
  • Must be able to adapt to all working conditions and meet physical requirements
  • Ability to work safely from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs
  • Capacity to work in confined spaces and perform physical labor including lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Willingness to work outside normal hours including evenings and during community events
  • Ability to follow OSHA and Safe Schools guidelines when handling hazardous materials

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to be flexible and a team player
  • Strong communications skills
  • Previous custodial experience preferred
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide general cleaning and maintenance services for campus buildings excluding the ice arena
  • Set up and tear down campus event spaces as needed
  • Work closely with campus lead, assistant lead, faculty, contractors, and vendors
  • Maintain inventories of supplies, materials, tools, and equipment
  • Monitor cleaning levels daily and liaise with cleaning contractors to ensure contract compliance
  • Support dining commons, servery, and kitchen staff during meal times
  • Submit purchase requisitions and assist in building inspections and maintenance operations
  • Receive and deliver equipment, supplies, and packages
  • Maintain basic knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems
  • Perform duties with an emphasis on safety and maintain required reports
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and community events
  • Assist with other related tasks as assigned by the Campus Lead
