Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to be flexible and a team player
- Strong communications skills
- Must be able to adapt to all working conditions and meet physical requirements
- Ability to work safely from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs
- Capacity to work in confined spaces and perform physical labor including lifting up to 40 pounds
- Willingness to work outside normal hours including evenings and during community events
- Ability to follow OSHA and Safe Schools guidelines when handling hazardous materials
Job Qualifications
- Ability to be flexible and a team player
- Strong communications skills
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide general cleaning and maintenance services for campus buildings excluding the ice arena
- Set up and tear down campus event spaces as needed
- Work closely with campus lead, assistant lead, faculty, contractors, and vendors
- Maintain inventories of supplies, materials, tools, and equipment
- Monitor cleaning levels daily and liaise with cleaning contractors to ensure contract compliance
- Support dining commons, servery, and kitchen staff during meal times
- Submit purchase requisitions and assist in building inspections and maintenance operations
- Receive and deliver equipment, supplies, and packages
- Maintain basic knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems
- Perform duties with an emphasis on safety and maintain required reports
- Participate in team meetings, training, and community events
- Assist with other related tasks as assigned by the Campus Lead
