Job Requirements

- Basic math proficiency

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Prior experience in food manufacturing preferred

Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED) preferable
- Food manufacturing experience is a plus
- Strong math skills
- Ability to speak, read, and write English (Spanish is a plus)

- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices

Job Duties
- Assures that all Good Manufacturing Practices take place before and during the process
- Makes safety a first priority while carrying out daily activities
- Reports any unsafe acts or conditions to immediate superior
- Inspects equipment prior to start mixing to ensure it is in working condition and free of any foreign material
- Procures product specifications and formulas of products to be run according to the schedule
- Requests ingredients necessary to produce required product quantity
- Assists operator by inspecting raw materials to ensure fitness according to quality standards and informs supervision of any deviation
- Assists operator by bringing ingredients according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Assists operator in completing all required documentation related to quality records
- Assures all product specifications are met and notifies supervision immediately if there is any deviation
- Documents any changes or issues during production
- Loads some bulk ingredients into the mixer according to specs and operator direction
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Informs upper management of any problems that cannot be solved in a timely manner
- Performs additional tasks as directed by production line lead
