Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (ged) preferred
  • previous experience with large-scale cooking and food preparation/serving
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of american currency and weight measurements, volume and distance

Job Duties

  • responsible for all general food preparation, serving and sanitation procedures
  • assists in the preparation of vegetables, salads, sandwiches and other menu items
  • assists in counter set-up and breakdown
  • assists in serving of daily menu items
  • responsible for sanitation in specific work areas and general kitchen cleanup
  • performs other duties as requested by supervisors
