Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
- ability to lift over 30 pounds repeatedly
- capacity to perform bending, stooping, and reaching
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- basic verbal communication skills
- ability to speak, read, and write English or Spanish
- willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in general cleaning or janitorial services preferred
- knowledge of cleaning procedures and products
- ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums
- basic verbal communication skills
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to work independently after training
- ability to speak, read, and write English or Spanish
- physical ability to perform repetitive motions and lift up to 50 pounds
- conscientiousness in maintaining confidentiality and safety
- ability to cooperate with team members
- willingness to perform routine repetitive tasks
- capability to work under close supervision initially and independently thereafter
Job Duties
- Disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting assigned areas using checklists/duty list
- disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counter, showers, bathtubs, patient areas and scrub walls
- maintain appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
- maintain assigned equipment in good working condition
- clean interior glass and dust and polish furniture
- disinfect and maintain ice machines and water fountains
- collect and remove trash from buildings daily
- replace sharps containers, transport trash, and remove empty boxes
- pick-up and dispose of hazardous-regulated-infectious waste as required
- disinfect patient, student and staff area restrooms, vanity area, shower and locker rooms
- disinfect utility rooms, waiting rooms, public restrooms keeping all in orderly condition
- maintain clean environment on campus and in campus offices by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- clean and disinfect high touch items continuously
- monitor and restock restroom dispensers
- complete daily work orders as scheduled
- participate in special projects and accept new assignments
- follow all housekeeping policies and procedures
- demonstrate health and safety awareness
- perform physical duties including bending, stooping, reaching
- communicate effectively with patients, students and staff
- use technical knowledge of cleaning products and procedures
- assist with special cleaning projects
- maintain confidentiality
- show responsibility and accountability
- comply with dress code
- label chemicals correctly
- use appropriate cleaning supplies
- keep housekeeping closet and equipment clean and organized
- maintain daily work records
