Job Requirements
- Work requires the ability to read, follow oral and written instructions in English at a level acquired through the completion of elementary school
- Ability to learn and perform basic housekeeping practices and understands the policies and procedures of the hospital
- High school diploma or completion of GED preferred

- Experience using cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers is beneficial

Job Duties
- Maintains daily cleaning of assigned areas by following approved hospital cleaning procedures
- Operate vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, and wall washing equipment
- Maintains stock of housekeeping supplies in assigned areas and housekeeping closets and equipment
- Prepares patient rooms for occupancy upon patient discharge or transfer including sanitation of beds, furniture, and equipment
- Cleans and maintains refrigerators, stoves, ovens, and other patient and non-patient care equipment
- Sets up and cleans meeting rooms per department request specifications
- Collects and disposes of all trash and waste as needed
- Cleans, disinfects, and sanitizes bathroom sinks, floors, and showers
- fills soap dispenser, and paper towel and tissue dispensers
