Job Requirements
- High school education or GED equivalent required
- experience in the hospitality or security industry preferred
- basic computer skills
- must be 21 years of age or older
- must possess a driver’s license and a clean driving record
- may require working long hours or hours outside of the normal work week
- may be designated essential personnel in emergency situations and required to remain on campus for the duration of the emergency

Job Duties
- Pleasantly greets incoming residents, staff, and visitors and ensures that entry into the campus is properly vetted
- provides information and assistance to residents, staff, visitors, and guests as needed
- monitors the emergency call system and responds in accordance with procedures to all fire, physical plant, and resident emergency alarms
- fully documents all emergency and unusual activity occurring within the shift
- informs the Director of Building, Grounds, and Support Services or Manager on duty of an emergency or unusual activity as soon as possible
- demonstrates proficiency at resetting the fire, physical plant, and resident alarms
- maintains constant radio communication while on duty
- conducts hourly radio checks to confirm proper radio operation
- uses the assigned cell phone while on grounds patrol in accordance with guidelines
- staffs the guard gate as scheduled, enforcing behavior guidelines for all community members
- patrols the campus and assists with on-campus transportation, package delivery, or responding to resident requests or emergencies
- acts as Concierge of the 24-hour desk as scheduled or provides breaks for scheduled Concierge
- answers phones, operates a computer, and multitasks in categorizing calls and situations
