Job Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma, GED, or ability to complete GED within 6 months
- Availability to work graveyard shifts Tuesday through Saturday 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.
- Ability to complete 3 day shift training sessions during first week
- Must be reliable, punctual, accountable, and possess a strong work ethic
- Must maintain vigilance and attention to detail throughout shift
- Able to respond rapidly and effectively in emergency situations
- Able to use communication devices including handhelds and telephones
- Must provide high quality customer service in person, via radio, and telephone
- Must have personal vehicle, valid Colorado driver’s license, and clean driving record
- Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations and policies
- Willing to submit to drug screen and background investigation
- Must be able to adhere to designated breaks including 15 minute and lunch breaks
- Able to work in a team environment and cooperate with management and site clients
- Must complete handwritten reports as required
- Ability to maintain professional organization and appearance during shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to complete detailed handwritten and electronic reports
- Intermediate to advanced computer and technology skills
- Ability to interact with diverse individuals professionally
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain Colorado Springs Guard Card license
- Ability to attend in-person interview and orientation
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening including drug test and background check
Job Duties
- Greet residents, vendors, clients, and aid as needed
- Conduct internal patrols and/or external mobile patrols to identify unsafe conditions and security risks
- Monitor entrances and exits, providing guidance to visitors and vendors
- Complete daily activity reports, incident logs, and security documentation accurately
- Maintain a professional and safe atmosphere for residents, visitors, and client staff
- Manage disruptive situations calmly and direct individuals causing disturbances to leave
- Protect scenes of incidents, set up barriers, and provide information to relevant authorities
- Report suspicious activities and incidents to management or public safety officials
- Ensure all property removal complies with policy and client standards
- Respond to alarms and monitor security cameras attentively
