Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 1 year of experience on a hydroponic farm preferred
- knowledge of botany and growing plants without soil
- excellent people skills
- ability to lead a large team during harvest
- forward-thinking mindset
- ability to conduct formal training sessions and presentations
- interest in the hydroponic industry

Job Duties
- Oversee all operations of the garden
- train and manage hydroponic growers and volunteers
- set standards for growing all specimens including schedule and nutrient intake
- ensure proper preparation for harvesting times
- maintain or replace hydroponic equipment
- monitor and order supplies
- experiment with growing conditions to improve efficiency
- compile a budget
- communicate with management on grower activities and maintenance plans
- work with Chief Strategic Officer to explore new revenue opportunities
- test water quality regularly
- suggest marketing strategies to promote products
- prepare projected budgets and maximize financial results
- maintain accurate orders, invoices, and financial books
- run regular financial reports
- ensure great customer service skills
- manage day-to-day operations with co-workers
- transport commodities to cooler or customers
- adapt to changes in job duties as needed
- report critical incidents immediately
- collect data for funding requirements and reports
- educate public, donors, and partners about vermiculture and sustainable composting
- lead farm tours and workshops when applicable
