Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years prior bartending experience
  • Must attend and pass Responsible Vendor Training
  • Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol
  • Ability to communicate well in a team environment
  • Must maintain professional attire including black dress top, black bottoms, and black shoes
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails and ability to prepare specialty drinks
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule with emphasis on evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift and move supplies up to 25 pounds
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years bartending experience
  • Successful completion of Responsible Vendor Training
  • Knowledge of Alabama Beverage Control Board regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team
  • Knowledge of traditional and craft cocktails
  • Experience with POS systems preferred
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Desire to produce an engaging guest experience

Job Duties

  • Ensure the bar is properly stocked with supplies needed for the event
  • Maintain constant oversight and control of alcohol following approved beverage builds
  • Serve clients and guests under the guidelines of the Alabama Beverage Control Board and Garden policies
  • Take guest orders and operate the POS efficiently and accurately
  • Work professionally with other personnel and outside vendors
  • Keep the appearance of the bar neat and clean
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any safety-related concerns
  • Complete event paperwork and document any visitor incidents
  • Provide cash and service count information after events
  • Secure all liquor, wine, beer, and mixers appropriately
  • Clean bar equipment and prepare for next event
