Job Qualifications
- good communication skills
- 1-4 years of previous experience preferred
- culinary leadership experience preferred
- understanding and experience in garde manger preferred
- ability to perform basic, intermediate, and advanced cooking skills
- able to work multiple kitchen stations
- flexibility to work varying schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- supervise hourly cooks
- produce consistent and quality food products in a timely manner
- assist in training department staff
- assume department responsibilities in the absence of the sous chef
- monitor payroll costs and overtime
- ensure smooth operation of multiple kitchen stations
- maintain communication with culinary and management teams
