Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-4 years of relevant culinary experience
  • experience in leadership or supervisory roles in a kitchen
  • able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • basic understanding of kitchen operations
  • culinary education or equivalent training
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • good communication skills
  • 1-4 years of previous culinary experience preferred
  • culinary leadership experience preferred
  • understanding and experience in Garde Manger preferred
  • ability to perform basic, intermediate, and advanced cooking skills
  • ability to work multiple stations in the kitchen
  • ability to work a varying schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Produce a consistent and high-quality range of Garde Manger dishes
  • supervise hourly cooks to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • assist in department training and development
  • assume department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef
  • monitor payroll costs and manage overtime
  • maintain basic cost control and inventory management
  • uphold kitchen safety and hygiene standards
