Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent work experience
  • five years relevant experience in high quality, high volume, and multi-unit operations preferred
  • two years supervisory experience preferred
  • knowledge of statutory requirements regarding health and safety, sanitation, proper chemical usage, fire procedures, and HACCP
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • proficiency in food preparation techniques
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment operations

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statutory requirements regarding health and safety, sanitation, proper chemical usage, fire procedures, and HACCP
  • knowledge of all kitchen equipment operations
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, and guests
  • culinary degree or equivalent work experience

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean, neat and organized work environment
  • follow recipes accurately including scaling recipes as needed
  • display proficient knife skills and season food properly
  • adhere to all established kitchen processes
  • communicate effectively with all internal customers
  • comply with all employee handbook rules and regulations
  • properly rotate products in walk-in cooler
  • clean and maintain kitchen equipment
  • strictly follow state sanitation, health regulations and hotel HACCP requirements
  • fill out the Sous Chef schedule
  • perform other duties as assigned
