Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar culinary role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong knife skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a garde manger cook or similar culinary position
  • Proficient knife skills and knowledge of cold kitchen techniques
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment relevant to the garde manger station
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary certification or formal culinary training is a plus

Job Duties

  • Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Read, understand, and follow standardized recipes and guidelines to prepare and meet high-quality production standards
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and appearance across all prepped items
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked during service
  • Communicate effectively with Management and fellow culinary Team Members
  • Minimize waste through proper preparation, storage, and portion control
  • Exhibit knowledge, understanding, and application of all required techniques
  • Operate all required kitchen equipment including slicer, salad spinner, mandolin, mixer, immersion blender, dehydrator and stove
  • Maintain a high level of personal grooming and uniform standards
  • Treat each Team Member with care, dignity, fairness, and respect in a professional manner while displaying and encouraging teamwork in the department
