Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar culinary role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a garde manger cook or similar culinary position
- Proficient knife skills and knowledge of cold kitchen techniques
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment relevant to the garde manger station
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary certification or formal culinary training is a plus
Job Duties
- Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures
- Read, understand, and follow standardized recipes and guidelines to prepare and meet high-quality production standards
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and appearance across all prepped items
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked during service
- Communicate effectively with Management and fellow culinary Team Members
- Minimize waste through proper preparation, storage, and portion control
- Exhibit knowledge, understanding, and application of all required techniques
- Operate all required kitchen equipment including slicer, salad spinner, mandolin, mixer, immersion blender, dehydrator and stove
- Maintain a high level of personal grooming and uniform standards
- Treat each Team Member with care, dignity, fairness, and respect in a professional manner while displaying and encouraging teamwork in the department
