Job Duties
- Driving the garbage truck, company truck, and golf carts while maintaining a valid Florida CDL Class B license
- working with the garbage collection crew to ensure safe working habits and retrieval of spillage
- maintaining, cleaning, and servicing the garbage truck and supplies
- notifying Grounds Supervisor immediately of problems, concerns, or safety issues
- lifting up to 75 pounds as required
- mowing, blowing sidewalks and streets, weed-eating, stick edging, trimming hedges, raking, weeding plant and flower beds, digging, weed control, planting flowers, shrubs, and trees
- moving furniture as needed
- maintaining small hand tools
- pressure washing sidewalks and buildings
- working with the trim crew
- checking to ensure receptacle lids are replaced after collection
- submitting to periodic physical exams to maintain CDL certification
- working regular shifts and additional hours as directed
- following safe workplace rules to prevent injuries
- maintaining confidentiality
- adhering to Fair Housing Act regulations
- maintaining consistent and timely attendance
- performing other duties as assigned
