Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in hotel or related field
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours
  • Capability to perform very heavy work involving lifting 50 pounds frequently and/or 20 pounds constantly
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Must attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations
  • Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Experience in food preparation, bar service, and customer service
  • Familiarity with hotel and restaurant settings
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle guest and employee concerns
  • Knowledge of beverage preparation and portion control
  • Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas

Job Duties

  • Listen to and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
  • Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines

  • Attend hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming

  • Understand and apply complex information to meet objectives

  • Receive all liquor, beer, and wine from storeroom daily
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar, refrigerators, and service areas
  • Replenish liquor, beer, and wine during shift
  • Be familiar with beverages and hotel mixing portion control
  • Assist in opening and closing side-work
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas
  • Assist in maintaining beverage cost
  • Follow procedures in serving alcohol responsibly
  • Retrieve food items from kitchen and deliver to customers
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
