Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- prior experience in security or related field preferred
- ability to perform light physical tasks including lifting and carrying
- availability to work overtime as needed
- basic computer skills for email and schedule use
- ability to communicate effectively and politely
- reliable and punctual attendance

Job Duties
- Attend roll call prior to shift for inspection and assignment
- participate in training in emergency procedures
- comply with general orders, policies and procedures
- make suggestions and convey observations to supervisor
- advise museum staff and visitors of museum policies firmly yet politely
- give directions and answer questions
- constantly move through assigned areas or observe from stationary locations
- maintain neat personal appearance and meet uniform specifications
- perform in drills and respond to emergencies as required by museum policies
- perform light custodial work including lifting and carrying items as needed
- work overtime as required
- perform other related duties as assigned
- use computer for email and schedule management
