Job Requirements
- Eligible for appointment as per the Graduate Assistant Handbook requirements
- Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in College Student Personnel Administration, Communication, or Recreation Administration
- Ability to work approximately twenty hours per week during the academic year
- Commitment to maintain good academic and disciplinary standing
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Must be eligible for employment in the United States and at Illinois State University
- Comply with university policies including criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in College Student Personnel Administration, Communication, or Recreation Administration

- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Demonstrated leadership potential or experience
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Commitment to enhancing student engagement and guest experience
Job Duties
- Support event management and operations by assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of programs and services that enhance the student and guest experience
- Actively attend and contribute to pre-event planning meetings and post-event review sessions for assigned events and activities
- Assist in the creation and implementation of feedback mechanisms to gather student input on programming and engagement efforts
- Provide supervision and mentorship to students responsible for developing and executing events that foster student engagement and build campus community at the Bone Student Center/Braden Auditorium
- Oversee event setup and equipment preparation
- Coordinate ticketing, guest services, security protocols, and crowd management
- Develop and implement event floor layouts and maps
- Learn the operations and perform duties in areas such as the Welcome Desk, Box Office, Building Operations, and other event areas as needed
- Work on various projects within the department utilizing time and resources efficiently
- Perform other duties and functions for Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality as assigned
