Job Requirements
- completion of MCPS Food Service Satellite Manager test within 2 years
- valid Maryland noncommercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent
- ability to lift and move objects weighing 40 to 60 pounds
- availability to work the scheduled hours from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying temperature conditions
- willingness to use a personal vehicle for banking duties with reimbursement
- ability to work overtime if required
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- experience in supervisory or management capacity in school or institutional food service
- knowledge of food production and forecasting
- knowledge of HACCP guidelines and sanitation procedures
- strong communication and human relations skills
- proficiency in computer point-of-sale systems
- current sanitation certification
Job Duties
- perform routine cooking and food service duties
- manage inventory and order food and supplies
- supervise and evaluate cafeteria workers
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and facilities
- perform cashiering and bank deposit duties
- ensure compliance with HACCP and sanitation guidelines
- operate computer point-of-sale systems
