Job Requirements

  • completion of the ninth grade required
  • ability to perform manual labor involving lifting and moving heavy objects
  • availability to work 9:30 am to 6:00 pm shift
  • ability to report during inclement weather and emergency situations
  • provide and maintain current telephone number for work communication
  • wear provided uniforms and proper attire
  • willingness to work frequent overtime or night work if required

Job Qualifications

  • completion of the ninth grade required
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • experience in general cleaning of buildings and grounds
  • ability to learn use of custodial and grounds care equipment
  • basic knowledge of emergency facility response procedures
  • ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
  • physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • perform building cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting
  • maintain school grounds including litter removal and basic landscaping
  • operate and maintain custodial and grounds care equipment
  • use approved cleaning supplies and chemicals safely and effectively
  • monitor building spaces and grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • report any maintenance issues or safety concerns
  • respond to emergency situations and perform duties during inclement weather as required
