Job Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science
- current Funeral Director license within the practicing state
- valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- industry experience preferred
- cognitive ability to reason, plan, identify problems, learn quickly, and apply learning
- process and results oriented
- positive attitude and self-motivated
- ability to build professional and trusting relations
- professional communication skills
- public speaking skills
- proficient in database and MS Office use

Job Duties
- Facilitates funeral arrangement discussions with next of kin
- presides over visitation, funeral, and graveside services
- ensures compliance with mortuary, health, and vital statistics regulations
- coordinates removals or transfers of the deceased
- manages event planning including music, flowers, and catering
- acts as Master of Ceremonies for services
- interacts with families to fulfill death care requests
