Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work beyond standard business hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds
- Ability to stand for frequent, continuous periods up to 6 hours per day
- Ability to climb stairs frequently
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
- Ability to maintain professional dress when in contact with families
- Ability to drive company owned vehicles in varying traffic conditions

Job Duties
- Prepare casket and deceased for visitation or funeral services including dressing casket and adjusting deceased clothing and jewelry
- Prepare rooms for services including setting up and cleaning chairs, tables, icons, guest books, flowers, keepsakes, mementos, casket, and urn
- Greet visitors, provide programs, answer questions, and provide funeral services information
- Serve as pallbearer when needed
- Drive families to cemetery sites as required
- Remove, clean, and properly store company property following services
- Package, load, or deliver family mementos, keepsakes, and flowers
- Courteously answer phones, screen callers, and take first call information
- Notify staff members when appointments arrive and escort guests to appropriate rooms
- Maintain reception area and refreshments including making coffee, disposing of trash, replenishing supplies, and cleaning
- Review documents for accuracy
- Perform data entry of document information into proprietary systems
- Receive deliveries
- Make copies, scan, fax, fold, prepare memorial materials, and perform mailroom tasks
- Transport, pick up, and deliver documents, family mementos, flowers, and similar articles safely to destinations
- Transport the deceased to funeral home
- Wash, vacuum, and clean vehicles to ensure presentability
- Fuel vehicles as necessary following safety guidelines and expenditure processes
