Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- minimum seven years of relevant experience required
- seven to ten years of fundraising or related business experience with proven success in special events management required
- demonstrated experience working effectively with boards, volunteers, and event committees required
- background in marketing and sales preferred
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
- experience in budget management and event planning
- strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Job Duties
- Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with key businesses and vendors
- create strategic partnerships and event marketing opportunities for corporate sponsorship
- manage sponsorship fulfillment and engagement with community leaders
- direct various special events to maximize return and promote Corewell Health's positive image
- assist in planning, directing, and executing fundraising, cultivation, and donor recognition events
- recruit vendors and new sponsors to existing events
- coordinate with hospital administrators and physicians for event sponsorship interactions
- communicate with operations team to track event participation and generate reports
- achieve annual new sponsor revenue goals of at least $100,000
- participate with senior leadership in managing events supporting major gift efforts
- develop and implement written event plans including fundraising goals
- recruit, mobilize, staff, and thank volunteer committees
- collaborate with volunteers and development staff to meet sponsorship goals
- manage third-party and department fundraising efforts ensuring policy compliance
- develop and manage event budgets aligned with overall special events program
- generate invitation and prospect lists
- produce event collateral and scripts
- maintain event records for future planning
- create strategies with major gift officers to cultivate corporate giving
- foster positive relationships within hospital divisions and Foundation teams
- develop a new portfolio of vendor sponsors
- perform other assigned duties and projects.
