Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Meet training and qualification requirements of all applicable technical data
- Valid FAA commercial pilot certificate with rotorcraft and instrument ratings
- Successfully completed proficiency check within previous 17 months
- Proof of graduation from US Army UH-1 Maintenance Test Pilot Course, USAF Functional Check Flight Certifications, other military equivalent course/certification, or FAA test flight program in UH-1 or commercial equivalent
- Possess or able to attain FAA Medical Certificate Second Class
- Minimum 1,500 hours first pilot with 500 hours experience in helicopters, including 300 hours in UH-1 or commercial equivalent prior to performing functional check flights
- Able to work varied weekly schedules driven by maintenance test flights and operational requirements
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Ability to obtain and maintain flightline driver's license
- Must obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
- US citizenship required to obtain clearance

Job Duties
- Perform test flights and demonstrate aircraft proficiency upon completion of aircraft maintenance or modification on UH-1N helicopters
- Determine airworthiness of aircraft prior to release for flight in accordance with publications and procedures
- Perform troubleshooting procedures on aircraft both on the ground and during flight, providing appropriate write-ups or verbal instructions to correct deficiencies
- Conduct recovery flights and ferry aircraft to additional sites such as depots
- Verify forms and records used in maintenance to ensure compliance with work prior to ground or flight checks
- Run-up aircraft for alert status, perform tests on modifications, and function as a member of Maintenance Recovery Teams when an operational check or test flight is required
- Fly night sorties or IFR only during recovery, training or ferry flights
- Deploy to support mission requirements when maintenance test flights are anticipated
- Fly with military aircrews and provide instruction in FCF procedures according to PWS requirements
- Interpret meteorological data relevant to flight planning and file flight plans using authorized processes
- Calculate and annotate weight and balance logs for the aircraft
- Operate navigational and communication equipment installed on the aircraft
- Pass flight proficiency examinations by military-authorized examination agencies
- Perform other duties as required
