Job Requirements
- Must be 25 years or older
- must have a valid driver’s license
- reliable transportation
- ability to devote 10-15 hours per week including evenings and weekends
- ability to temporarily host a student or secure a temporary host family in emergencies
- job requires a background check
Job Qualifications
- Ability to build strong community relationships and think creatively to overcome challenges
- enjoys working with and supporting both adults and teenagers
- experience in marketing, education, social work, international relations, or related fields is a plus
- comfortable using social media and online tools for promotion and reporting
- ability to temporarily host a student in your home or identify a temporary host family in the event of an emergency
- must be 25 years or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Duties
- Network and promote the AYA program through community outreach efforts
- build relationships with local schools to facilitate student enrollment
- recruit and screen suitable host families that meet the requirements of the program
- conduct monthly check-ins with students and host families to ensure safety and satisfaction
- provide logistical, emotional, and social support to students, host families, and schools
- implement conflict resolution and mediation strategies when needed
- offer temporary housing or secure emergency accommodations with another vetted host family when necessary
- fulfill reporting requirements and maintain accurate documentation
