Job Requirements
- bachelor’s or associate’s degree in relevant field
- two to six years of culinary arts or food technology experience
- current ServSafe Managers Certification or equivalent
- sensitivity and understanding of diverse student backgrounds
- ability to work full-time as a tenure-track faculty member
- availability to teach day, evening, weekend, and possibly high school courses
- completion of fingerprint and tuberculosis examination
- verification of work authorization
- submission of required application materials including transcripts
Job Qualifications
- any bachelor’s or higher degree plus two years of experience in culinary arts/food technology
- any associate’s degree plus six years of experience in culinary arts/food technology
- current ServSafe Managers Certification or equivalent
- sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of college students
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work collaboratively in an educational environment
Job Duties
- teach culinary arts courses
- provide curriculum and equipment recommendations
- develop on-the-job training apprenticeship partnerships
- train and support students in culinary arts program
- participate in faculty meetings and committee work
- engage in student activities and maintain office hours
- conduct student learning outcomes assessment and program review
