Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail work experience preferred
- Capability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift, carry, and place product weighing up to 45 pounds
- Ability to work in cooler and freezer environments
- Ability to use cleaning products safely
- Availability to work 30 or more hours per week
- Commitment to follow all company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate store equipment including cash registers, floor scrubbers, balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Organizational and prioritization skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to meet availability requirements
Job Duties
- Models and fulfills customer service principles and escalates concerns to management as necessary
- Informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products
- Utilizes the point-of-sale system to scan and process customer purchases accurately and reports scanning concerns
- Adheres to cash policies and opens additional check lanes to ensure efficient checkout
- Stocks shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms
- Completes curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items and ensuring timely delivery to customers
- Maintains zone and merchandising standards at all times
- Assists management in operational efficiency and total loss goals
- Complies with company policies and supports a safe working environment
- Performs general cleaning tasks to company standards
- Adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
- Operates equipment such as cash registers, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers
- Handles physical tasks including lifting up to 45 pounds and stocking in various temperature conditions
