Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
- ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving
- ability to lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights
- regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
- ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- ability to safely operate equipment including electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers
- ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently and within a team environment
- ability to stay organized, pay attention to detail, follow instructions, and multitask professionally
- meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
Job Duties
- Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills as outlined for the role
- process customer purchases
- perform general cleaning duties
- stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly
- provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping experience
- collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to the store management team
- provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
- participate in taking store inventory counts and monitor inventory for accuracy
- adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- comply with company policies and maintain confidentiality
- perform other duties as assigned
