Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
- Ability to stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store regularly
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate cash register efficiently and accurately
- Ability to operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber and cardboard baler safely
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties according to company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to stay organized, follow instructions, multitask and pay attention to detail
- Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
Job Duties
- Demonstrate the ALDI mindsets, acts competencies and professional skills consistently
- Process customer purchases and operate cash register accurately
- Stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly
- Provide exceptional customer service assisting customers during their shopping
- Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with store management
- Provide feedback on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and other issues
- Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Comply with company policies and maintain confidentiality of documents and data
- Perform general cleaning duties to keep the store clean and organized
- Other duties as assigned
