Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping department duties
- Familiarity with computer software including word processing, database, and spreadsheet, especially Excel
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with tens and hundreds
- Ability to perform operations using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to work well with a team
- Strong clerical, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency and real concern for guest satisfaction

Job Duties
- Provide professional, friendly service to all guests
- Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, lounges, and guest rooms
- Organize work schedule based on room status list, arrivals, and departures
- Distribute linen, towels, and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand and restock cart at shift end
- Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies, and replace laundry bags and slips
- Replace dirty linens with clean items and store all dirty laundry per company policy
- Inspect and turn mattresses regularly, check room appliances for proper working order, and realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
- Respond to guest queries and requests, handle housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glasses, deliver requested housekeeping items, and remove room service items
- Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms and follow all company safety and security procedures
- Observe and report damage to hotel property, maintenance issues, or safety hazards
- Perform all other duties as assigned
